Report from Foundation for Life
January - March 2009
The following is a report of what has been done from January to March 2009
1. “Moulding the NeXt Generation” Project
The Foundation liased with 20 undergraduates from the Public Speaking and Personal Development Club of the Assumption University (Suwannabhumi district) to hold a day of wholesome activities and lunch for 50 children and youths in the Romklao Estate. The event was held on 7 February in the Romklao Centre where weekly
activities for moulding the next generation is carried out.
2. Educational Support Project
The Foundation sourced the help of The Girls’ Brigade from Mahachai Christian School in a Valentine’s day charity drive to give stationeries, toys and necessities to the
children and youths from various communities in Samut Songkhram province, during the February and March period.
3. Food For The Tummy Project
The Foundation networked with philanthropic persons to provide lunch for the 35 preschoolers, teens and disabled persons at the Baan Chivit Mai Centre in Klong Toey Community on 18 March.
4. Project “Training of Volunteers in Practical Skills for the Improvement of Life Quality for the Youths and Their Families on the Theme -The Excellent Servant"
An intensive training was organised from 18-21 March, for our Volunteers from Bangkok and the upcountry on the theme of “The Excellent Servant”. 30 trainees turned up at the Credit Union League of Thailand, Bangkok so as to be trained in the principles of serving the communities following the example of Jesus Christ, based on the values of excellence and unity among volunteers. Techniques on Digital Photography was also a topic included, so that volunteers are equipped to use digital cameras to produce photographs in their reports and presentations. At the same time, they may use this subject to teach youths as an option and choice of hobby and even future career paths.
